Mr Broughton, A Life Like No Other...
John Broughton
was born in Thailand in 1783, his parents, Luke and Sandra (no relation
to the ones mentioned in the Gang) were very very strict, subjecting him to
the cruelest punishments known to man. He was very naughty as a boy,
and 'rather queer' as his dad once said, and, thus, was subjected to
these punishments regularly. This turned him into the hardened and streetwise
man we all know (and, dare I say, love) today. He was educated in 'The
University Of Life' (Now the University Of Loughborough) where he learned
the art of spending hour after hour, day after day, doing nothing but
bashing off, and what more could a young, and enthusiastic man want
to do. On leaving university he joined the army just in time for the
Crimean war and enthusiastically marched into war. In 1493, he was captured
and held as a prisoner of war for 14 years and was subjected to the
cruelest of punishments, an experience which took him back to his childhood.
After he was freed he lay low for a while and did a series of minor
jobs, including the king of Poland, 'Il Duce' and a minor deity in a
religion of his own design. After a bit of time he decided to return
to the limelight, taking the job of maths teacher at Cottingham High
School. This is his life up to now, who knows what the future could
hold?
